The 4-shaft extension kit is an add-on that converts a TabbyandTweed rigid heddle loom to weave 4-shaft patterns - including twills, herringbones, Krokbragd, overshot, and doubleweave. It is designed for weavers who already have a TabbyandTweed rigid heddle loom and want to explore more complex woven structures. It is not a beginner product and is not compatible with other brands of rigid heddle loom.
How long does it take to weave a scarf on a rigid heddle loom?
Most beginners complete their first scarf in 3–6 hours of weaving time, spread over a few sessions. Warping the loom for takes a little longer the first time but our video tutorial walks you through each step. By the second or third project, most weavers can warp and weave a scarf in a single sitting.
