The TabbyandTweed rigid heddle loom, fully assembled and ready to use. No yarn is included.  Use your own DK yarn, or add a scarf weaving kit from the shop. Comes with two scarf patterns, a full instruction booklet, and all accessories.
 
Who This Loom For
This is the loom-only version of the TabbyandTweed rigid heddle loom kit. It is the right choice if:
You already have DK yarn and want a loom to use it on
Someone has gifted you a TabbyandTweed scarf weaving kit (yarn and pattern) and you need the loom to go with it
You want the loom now and plan to choose a yarn and pattern kit separately
You prefer to save £25–30 compared with the full yarn-and-loom kits and source your own yarn

The Two Included Scarf Patterns
The kit includes two named scarf weaving patterns for use with your own DK yarn:
Colourblock scarf - a clean, modern design using solid colour blocks. Ideal for using up stash yarn in two or more complementary shades. A natural first project.
Houndstooth scarf - the classic two-colour geometric check. Requires two colours of DK yarn and produces a more visually complex result than plain weave. A satisfying second project once you’re comfortable with the loom.
Both patterns include suggested yarns, but any DK yarn works with the standard 8epi reed.
Additional scarf weaving kits - including tartan, colour and weave, and rainbow colourways - are available separately in the shop. 
 
What is in the Kit
Rigid heddle loom - fully assembled, 26cm weaving width, 8epi reed (for DK / double knit yarn)
3 shuttles, warping peg, 2 clamps (for securing the loom to a table) and a plastic threading hook
Instruction booklet with step-by-step images for warping and weaving
Two scarf weaving patterns: colourblock and houndstooth
No yarn is included. An optional carry bag with internal pockets is available at checkout.
 
Reed/Heddle Options
The standard kit includes an 8epi heddle, which is ideal for DK (double knit) yarn. At checkout you can also add:
10epi reed - for weaving with 4-ply (fingering weight) yarn, producing finer, more detailed fabric
6epi reed - for weaving with Aran weight yarn, producing thicker, more textured fabric
All three reeds are fully compatible with this loom and can be swapped as your weaving projects change.
 
Loom Dimensions
34cm × 39cm × 11cm (heddle up) / 9cm (heddle down). The loom has a neutral heddle position for pick-up stick weaving once you’re ready to explore more complex patterns.

Made in the UK
The loom is designed and made by Gillian Siggers and Emma Baker in TabbyandTweed’s workshop in Salisbury, Wiltshire, using FSC-certified birch plywood. Delivered to UK, USA and Canada.
 
FAQ's
Does this kit include yarn?
No. This is the loom-only version - no yarn is included. It comes with the fully assembled loom, accessories, instruction booklet, and two scarf patterns for use with your own DK yarn. Full kits with yarn included are available from £170.
 
What yarn do I need?
The standard 8epi reed (included) works with DK (double knit) yarn. Optional 10epi and 6epi reeds are available for 4-ply and Aran yarn respectively.
 
Is this suitable for a complete beginner?
Yes. The loom arrives fully assembled. The instruction booklet and YouTube tutorials guide you through warping and weaving step by step.
 
Can I buy yarn and pattern kits to use with this loom?
Yes. TabbyandTweed sells scarf weaving kits (yarn and pattern, no loom) separately in the shop, in tartan, colour and weave, and other colourways.
