A perfect scarf weaving kit for a beginner weaver with their own rigid heddle loom who is looking for a project to build their confidence. This kit has the instructions and the 7 skeins of beautifully soft British wool to weave a stunning scarf.
This project is for a weaver who has their own rigid heddle weaving loom and who is confident in warping their loom and would be interested in weaving this lovely scarf. For a less confident weaver then our TabbyandTweed YouTube channel has a video tutorial on warping a rigid heddle loom ready for weaving.
The loom and scarf shown is not included but a kit which includes the rigid heddle loom is available in our shop.
The kit creates a scarf which is approximately 23cm wide, 150cm long with an additional 12cm fringe at each end.
The kit includes:
- 7 skeins of British wool as shown.
- a weaving instruction booklet
To use this kit you will need to have a rigid heddle loom with either a 7.5 or 8 ends per inch heddle with a total of 82 (holes/slots). 4 shuttles would be useful as each shuttle could be wound with two different coloured yarns. The loom is not included in this kit.
