Your First Project - Weaving a Tartan Scarf
The included yarn and pattern guide you through weaving a black, blue and orange tartan scarf using the three-shuttle colour sequence. The instruction booklet covers warping the loom, setting up the tartan colour order, and weaving the pattern row by row. There is also a video tutorial on the TabbyandTweed YouTube channel that covers setting up the loom ready to weave.  The finished scarf is approximately 23cm wide and 150cm long, with a fringe at each end.
Once the included yarn is used, the loom can be used with any DK weight yarn for further projects.

The TabbyandTweed rigid heddle loom has a weaving width of 26cm and comes with an 8epi reed - the right sett for DK weight yarn, which produces a balanced, medium-weight woven fabric ideal for scarves and wraps. The loom includes a neutral heddle position that enables pick-up stick pattern weaving - a natural next step for weavers who want to move beyond plain weave and create textured or patterned structures on the same loom.
 
Dimensions: 34cm x 39cm footprint, 11cm height with the heddle raised, 9cm with the heddle lowered. Compact and lightweight - easy to store and travel with.
