Learn to weave on a rigid heddle weaving loom with the kit including the yarn and instructions to weave a beautiful festive Christmas runner or 4 placemats. This kit contains a fully assembled loom, accessories, instructions and the red, green and grey yarn to weave the runner or placements as shown. A perfect kit for learning to weave. Once you have completed your first weaving project you can continue to develop your weaving skills with your own 4 ply yarn.
Made in the UK this loom is a compact loom which is lightweight and perfect for a beginning weaver. We also sell 8 epi and 6 epi reeds separately which can be used with this loom allowing the weaver to weave with doubleknit and Aran wool respectively. The 10 epi reed is normally used for 4 ply wool yarn.
This loom has been designed and made totally by us in our workshop in the UK.
Dimensions of the loom are 34cm x 39cm x 11cm (with the heddle in the up position) or 9cm(with the heddle in the down position). The loom also has a neutral position allowing the weaver to progress onto more complex pick up stick weaving techniques.
The dimensions of the completed table runner are 1.3m x 25cm with a 15cm fringe at each end.
Dimensions of the placemats are 25cm wide by 28cm wide.
