An intermediate scarf weaving kit to learn to weave this beautiful handwoven textured blue and pink scarf with the use of a pick up stick for the developing weaver. The kit contains gorgeous Falkland wool and Lyocell balls of yarn, a pick up stick and detailed instructions to enable you to learn how to use a pick up stick and create the textured scarf.
This scarf weaving kit is a perfect project for someone with their own rigid heddle weaving loom who is able to warp their own loom and is looking to develop their weaving skills further with the use of a pick up stick.
This yarn is beautifully soft with a silky feel and sheen due in particular to the Lyocell yarn which is made from wood pulp. The loom and scarf shown is not included.
There are two options of this kit which differ with respect to the yarn colours. Both kits include . :
- 4 balls of 60% Lyocell and 40% of British Falkland wool yarn in blue, pink and grey shades.
- 4 balls of 60% Lyocell and 40% of British Falkland wool yarn in lilac, dark grey and a pale grey shades.
The kit creates a scarf which is approximately 20cm wide, 155cm long with an additional 8cm fringe at each end.
The kit includes:
- 4 balls of yarn as shown.
- a weaving instruction booklet
- a pick up stick
To use this kit you will need to have a rigid heddle loom with either a 7.5 or 8 ends per inch heddle with a total of 82 (holes/slots). The loom is not included in this kit but a loom can be purchased in our shop.
