Do you want a project for your rigid heddle loom or are you looking for a gift for a rigid heddle weaver? This kit allows you to weave yourself a striking grey and red British wool scarf. The kit contains the pattern with detailed instructions and the yarn in grey and red shades to weave yourself the scarf shown in the photos. This kit would be a perfect kit for a rigid heddle loom weaver. The yarn used in the kit is 'Wool Decanted' Vintage 23 yarn which a beautifully soft and smooth yarn. Produced from Falkland Polwarth, Romney and black Shetland fibres the 100% British wool blend is a joy to weave with.
The loom and the scarf shown is not included. We do sell kits with the rigid heddle loom included if you need a loom.
The kit creates a scarf which is 22cm wide, 150cm long with an additional 15cm fringe at each end. The colourblock pattern is straightforward and is ideally suited for a new weaver.
The kit includes:
- 3 x 50g skeins of ‘Wool Decanted’ British wool in Storm x 2, Natural Grey x1 with a smaller skein of red Shepherds Delight yarn.
- a weaving instruction booklet
To use this kit you will need to have a rigid heddle loom with either a 7.5 or 8 ends per inch heddle with a total of 84 (holes/slots) and 2 shuttles. The loom is not included in this kit.
